Rain Does Not Stop Compassion: Ojo Chairman Sustains ‘PBAT FEEDS!’ School Nutrition Initiative on Day Two

The Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Muhibat Titilola Rufai, on Wednesday continued the implementation of the “Adopt a School “Snacks for Thought”– PBAT FEEDS!” initiative, personally overseeing the distribution of nutritious snacks to pupils in selected public primary schools across the Local Government.

The Day Two exercise covered St. Michael Nursery and Primary School 1, St. Michael Nursery and Primary School 2, and Alaworo Nursery and Primary School, where more than 1,500 snack packs were distributed to pupils.

Despite the heavy rainfall, the Executive Chairman remained committed to the programme, moving from one classroom to another to ensure that every pupil received a snack package. Her hands-on approach underscored the administration’s dedication to promoting child welfare and creating an enabling environment for learning.

The “Adopt a School for Snacks for Thought – PBAT FEEDS!” initiative is designed to improve classroom concentration, encourage regular school attendance, enhance pupils’ academic performance, and combat hunger among children in public primary schools.

Hon. Rufai reaffirmed that investing in the health and education of children remains a priority of her administration, noting that no child should be hindered from learning because of hunger.

She also appreciated teachers, school administrators, and education stakeholders for their cooperation and commitment to the successful implementation of the programme, while encouraging continued support from community leaders, parents, corporate organizations, and development partners to sustain the initiative beyond its pilot phase.

The three-day intervention reflects Ojo Local Government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its children and aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which places a premium on education, nutrition, and human capital development.
