April 29, 2025 — Earlier today, the Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Rasulu Idowu, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the Koni/Ilaje Road. This critical infrastructure project, initiated to unlock significant economic benefits for residents and commuters, aims to alleviate persistent traffic congestion around Mile-10 and Volkswagen Bus Stop, areas notorious for gridlock.
Upon completion in the coming weeks, the road will enhance connectivity for motorists traveling from Ira Quarters, Tedi, and Muwo Town to the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, ensuring smoother navigation and reduced travel time.
Hon. Idowu was joined during the inspection by key officials, including the Council Manager Mr. Sejiro Asokere; the Council Treasurer Mr. Okeowo I.A.; the Supervisor for Works Hon. Kehinde Lawal; the Supervisor for Environment Hon. Joel Tudonu; the Council Engineer; and the Personal Assistant to the Council Manager, Mr. Juwon Omotoba.
The Chairman reiterated the administration’s commitment to delivering projects that address both immediate challenges and long-term development goals.
