The year 2024 annual bursary awards exercise for indigent students of Ojo Local Government has come, gone and completed.
A whooping sum of 7 million and more Naira was distributed between 212 (Two Hundred and Twelve) qualified applicants who successfully passed through a rigorous screening process under the chairmanship of Alhaji Ligali Olu Olaleye aka (Lastborn).
During the presentation, the Executive Chairman Hon. Rasulu Idowu admonished all the invited and qualified bursary applicants to ensure the funds given by the local government to support their individual education is properly utilized, especially during this period when the country is in a sober mode.
While the NUT Chairman (Ojo Chapter) Comrade Oladipupo aka (Sharp Sharp) who was a guest at the event eulogized Mr. Project for always supporting children and youth upliftment through education; the National Youth Council NYCN Coordinator (Ojo Chapter) Comrade Junaid Yusuf prayed for others in position of authority to emulate his footsteps in encouraging young people across the local government and as well advised the beneficiaries to also use the money well.
The brief event was witnessed by the Council Manager Mr. Sejiro Asokere , the Council Treasurer Mr. Okeowo I.A , the HOD Education Mrs. Akinyemi Olajumoke and other members of the management team.
Others are the Vice Chairman Hon. Mrs Edna Uche-Ubochi , the Supervisor for Education Hon. Sanni Muiz Bamidele and other cabinet members.
