OJO CHAIRMAN COMMISSIONS AYILARA RECREATION CENTRE, DONATES STAFF BUS AND MINI BUSES TO LSNSC, NSCDC

The Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu, commissioned a landmark project and donated mini buses to the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LSNSC), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and staff bus to local government staff on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The event marked a significant milestone in the history of the local government, showcasing the administration’s commitment to delivering value to its citizens.

The commissioned project is a water fountain project at Olojo Drive, christened Ayilara Recreation Centre. This project is expected to improve the quality of life for residents and create opportunities for economic growth and development. The Ayilara Recreation Centre, featuring a beautiful water fountain, is a landmark project that will enhance the aesthetic appeal of the community.

It will promote tourism and economic development, making the area a more attractive destination for visitors. The fountain will also serve as a symbol of the local government’s commitment to beautifying its environment.

The donation of mini buses to LSNSC and NSCDC is a testament to the administration’s commitment to safety and security. The vehicles will enable security agencies to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively, ensuring the safety and security of citizens.

Additionally, the donation of staff bus will enhance the mobility and productivity of local government staff, enabling them to carry out their duties more efficiently. This gesture demonstrates the administration’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of its employees.

In his address, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu expressed gratitude to stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the projects. He thanked his colleagues, the vice chairman, members of the Expect, councillors, and management staff for their support and collaboration during his tenure.

As he prepares to hand over to his successor, Hon. Rasulu expressed confidence that the projects will take the local government to greater heights. He urged residents to take ownership of the project and ensure it is  used for the benefit of all. The outgoing chairman pledged his support to his successor and expressed optimism about the future of the local government.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, esteemed leaders, and citizens of Ojo Local Government. It marked the end of Hon. Idowu’s tenure as Chairman, and he was applauded for his dedication and commitment to the development of the local government.
